How AnyContent collects, uses and protects your data while you download, convert and edit files.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to AnyContent. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our video download, file conversion, PDF editor, image editor and video editor services.

2. Information We Collect

AnyContent collects the following information:

  • Video URLs: The URLs you enter to download videos are processed temporarily to perform the download.
  • Download preferences: Your choices regarding video quality, audio format and subtitles.
  • Download history: We keep a local history of recent downloads for your convenience, stored only on the server during the session.
  • Session cookies: We use essential technical cookies for the operation of the service.
  • Files uploaded for conversion: The files you upload for conversion are processed temporarily on the server and are not stored permanently.
  • Conversion preferences: The output format selected for file conversion.
  • Files uploaded to editors (PDF, images, video): Files you upload to the editors are processed temporarily to apply the requested changes (PDF annotations, image crop/filters, video trim/merge, etc.) and are not retained beyond the duration of the working session.
  • Editing preferences: The choices made in the editors (export format, quality, tool parameters).

Non-registered users: We do not collect personally identifiable data such as name, email or IP address for profiling purposes. For downloads and conversions, temporary files are automatically removed within 15 minutes.

Registered users (AnyContent account): if you create an account, we collect and process the following additional data:

  • Email: email address for registration, authentication and operational communications (e.g. subscription confirmation).
  • Plan and account status: plan type (Free/Pro/Biz), subscription status, activation/expiry dates.
  • Stripe data: Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — technical identifiers for subscription management. AnyContent does not store credit card data.
  • Usage counters: number of daily/monthly operations (downloads, conversions, editing) for plan quota monitoring.
  • Editor files (temporary): files uploaded to editors and unsaved results are removed upon completion of processing.
  • Saved files ("My Files"): if you choose to save a result to your personal space, the file is retained in your account until manual deletion, within the storage limits and conditions of your subscribed plan.
  • Encrypted YouTube cookies: if you voluntarily upload a YouTube cookie file from your account, it is stored encrypted (AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA256) and can be removed at any time from the account page.

3. Uploaded Cookie Files

If you upload a cookie file to access private or protected videos:

  • The file is used solely to authenticate the download request.
  • The file is automatically deleted once the download is complete.
  • We do not store, copy or share your cookies with third parties.

4. Files Uploaded for Conversion

When you use the file conversion service:

  • Files are uploaded temporarily to the server solely to perform the conversion.
  • The maximum size per file is 100 MB.
  • Original and converted files are automatically deleted 15 minutes after the conversion is complete.
  • We do not analyse, copy or share the content of your files with third parties.
  • We support conversion between over 80 formats of video, audio, images, documents and ebooks (MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, FLAC, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, PDF, DOCX, EPUB, etc.).

4-bis. Files Uploaded to the Editors (PDF, Images, Video)

When you use the AnyContent editors (PDF, Images, Video):

  • PDF Editor: PDFs uploaded for annotation, compression, rotation, watermark or other operations are processed temporarily on the server and deleted at the end of the session (within 15 minutes).
  • Image Editor: Images uploaded for crop, resize, rotation, filters, watermark, meme or compression remain on the server only for the time needed for processing.
  • Video Editor Lite: Videos uploaded for trim, merge, crop, rotation, speed adjustment, audio management or text overlays are processed and then automatically removed.
  • The maximum size per file is 100 MB; for files up to 12 MB the navigation between editor hub pages happens directly in the browser without uploading to the server.
  • We do not analyse, copy or share the content of edited files with third parties.

5. How We Use Information

The information collected is used exclusively to:

  • Process your video download requests.
  • Show video previews before download.
  • Provide your recent download history.

  • Converted files (Converter): Uploaded and converted files are automatically deleted 15 minutes after the conversion is complete.
  • Editor files (unsaved): Files uploaded to editors and unsaved results are removed upon completion of processing.

  • Download history: The last 20 downloads are stored locally on the server.
  • Cookie files: Deleted immediately after use.
  • Session data: Deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Account data (registered users): email, plan status and usage counters are retained for the duration of the account and deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.

We do not sell, exchange or transfer your information to third parties. The only exceptions are:

  • Video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) which receive download requests as part of the normal operation of the service.
  • Stripe, Inc. — our online payment processor. When you subscribe to a paid plan, billing data (name, email, payment method) is processed directly by Stripe under their own Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. AnyContent does not store credit card details.
  • Resend / Amazon SES — transactional email service (Resend, Inc. — AWS SES infrastructure) for sending operational emails (subscription confirmations, account notifications). The provider receives only the recipient's email address and message content.

Data sub-processors: The providers listed above act as data sub-processors (Art. 28 GDPR) and process data solely for the stated purposes. No data is shared for commercial or advertising purposes.
